There are natural remedies for sleep/relaxation such as Hyland's homeopathic Calms Forte 4 Kids and the herb valerian. Some kids do have legitimate sleep issues. Melatonin is another possibility, as some people do not produce enough and need the supplement. Sleep deprivation in a parent can be a very big problem, which I have experienced when my child was much younger, and pediatricians were of no help. The horrible "cry it out" method never worked!
